Travis' Homemade Cocktail Sauce (For Seafood) Regular & Low Carb Versions (Dairy Free) Family Recipe


This flavorful sauce is perfect for Shrimp or Crab 
Cocktails or as a dipping sauce/ condiment for
 Shrimp, Salmon Fritters, Fish & Chips and more.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup bottled chili sauce**see recipe for Low Carb version**
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh ground horseradish (in a jar)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 green onion, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion)
drops of Tabasco or other hot pepper sauce to taste

Method:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to blend. Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Add shrimp or crab to make a cocktail appetizer or serve as a dipping sauce for shrimp, other seafood and more. Makes about 1 cup of sauce. Store leftovers in a glass jar or bowl with a lid.

**Homemade Low Carb Chili Sauce (For Shrimp Cocktail, Seasoning & Sauces)
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar free ketchup
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
dash pink Himalayan or sea salt

Method:

Place all of the ingredients in a microwavable bowl and stir to mix. Heat for 20 seconds. Stir and repeat until the mixture is warmed and well blended. Store in a glass jar or bowl with a lid. Makes 1 cup.
Alternate Method:
Place all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Stir and cook, over a low heat, until warm and well blended. Store in a glass jar or bowl with a lid. Makes 1 cup.

approximately 27.35 calories ~ .2 grams fat ~ 3.4 grams net carbs
~ 1 gram protein

Notes: Son Travis has always loved shrimp and all other seafood, so he was eager to learn how to make the cocktail sauce to dip shrimp into. He was in charge of making this delicious sauce at holiday gatherings.
