🍎🍏🍎 Grandma's Rosy Applesauce ~ Quick & Easy! 🍎🍏🍎

Easy, Pretty & Tasty ~ A Family Favorite!

Ingredients:

8 apples, peeled, cored and chopped**

1 1/4 cups apple juice or water

1/4 cup sugar (optional)

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon lemon juice or apple cider vinegar

1/4 - 1/2 cup red hot cinnamon candies***

Method:

Add all of the ingredients to a large saucepan or cooking pot.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes or until the apples are soft.

Remove from the heat and allow the apples to cool. Mash with a fork or potato masher. For a smooth sauce, puree in a blender or food processor.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. Makes 8 servings.

Note: I remember my mom making Rosy Applesauce when I was a child. I made this pretty applesauce especially for granddaughter Rose, but all of the grandkids liked it. 💕
